Bureau of Suspended Objects Behind the Scenes Lecture

Bureau of Suspended Objects Behind the Scenes Lecture

Get the inside story behind the Bureau of Suspended Objects exhibition from Creative Ecology artist-in-residence Jenny Odell during her free lecture at the Palo Alto Art Center on November 2, 7-8 p.m. The Bureau of Suspended Objects features 50 items that have been “reluctantly” donated by community members and meticulously archived online and in a binder. Viewers of the exhibition are able to scan a QR code on a shelf label with their smartphones and open a web page with information on the history of the object, its origins and the reason behind its abandonment by the owner. During the lecture, Jenny will discuss her creative process and answer questions from audience members. The Palo Alto Art Center is located at 1313 Newell Road, Palo Alto, CA 94303.
