Calenda on Cal Ave

Saturday, September 26, Neighbors Abroad will be hosting a Calenda on California Avenue. A Calenda is a festive street festival that originated in Palo Alto's Sister City of Oaxaca, Mexico. The Calenda will take place from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. This year, we will celebrate three of our Sister Cities: Oaxaca; Palo, Leyte, Philippines; and Narok, Kenya. 

The free event will feature live music and dance performances, mezcal tasting, international vendors featuring goods from our Sister Cities, children's activities, and more.  The City of Palo Alto is designating the Calenda as an Entertainment Zone, which allows attendees to enjoy alcoholic beverages from participating restaurants while strolling through the designated area.
