Developing Effective Employee Handbooks

The Employee Handbook is (or should be) one of the cornerstones of any company's human resources infrastructure. All companies should review and update their Employee Handbooks periodically, preferably every 12 to 18 months. Some policies (such as those relating to sick leave, holidays, health insurance benefits, social media, confidential information, and arbitration) may need to be revised or updated in 2016 to comply with changes in the law, and others should be refined so that they remain state of the art. This seminar will assist employers in creating or updating an Employee Handbook to aid them in complying with applicable laws and minimizing the risk of claims from employees. This program is approved for 2.75 (General) recertification credit hours toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification, and 3 hours of California MCLE credit.
