Downtown $1 Carpool Program Information Session

Downtown Employers!
Commuting is about to get a lot easier (and cheaper) for many of your employees.
The Palo Alto TMA is partnering with Scoop, the mobile carpooling app, to sponsor commutes to Downtown Palo Alto for just $1 per ride. 
That’s right -- your employees can carpool to work for $1 per ride.  
The Scoop program starts on April 4th and is simple to use.  Here’s how it works:

  • Employees download the app (Android or iOS). 
  • They book a ride – one way at a time.  The app is flexible – some people book ahead if they have a set schedule; others book as little as 15-30 minutes ahead of when they need a ride.
  • Guaranteed ride home.  Your employees can relax.  In the unlikely event no match can be found, they’ll automatically get a guaranteed ride home through your preferred alternative (taxi, Uber, Lyft, etc.) or through Scoop’s GRH assurance. 
Please drop in and learn more about this new commute program on Wednesday, March 30th.  Scoop and TMA representatives will be available to tell you more about the program, give you promotional materials for distribution to your employees, and answer any questions you may have.

Almost every Downtown employee is eligible for the $1 per ride program.  There’s just one requirement: 
  1. The $1 per ride offer applies only to rides taken to and from a downtown Palo Alto business address between 6:30 and 9:30am; and between 4 and 7:30pm.
