This class will review essential strategies and best practices for nonprofits that an organization should know to successfully use social media. Defines social media marketing and why it is important. Learn how to use network tools, find out what nonprofits use to drive funding and to network with those who want to help your cause. We will emphasis things you can do to improve your organization through social media

  • Learn how social media marketing will increase funding, increase your presence in your network of stakeholders and improve your visibility in the community

Instructor: Shelley Wolfe, Executive Director of KMVT 15 Silicon Valley Community Media. She is a Collaborative Change Agent with an extensive background in the entertainment industry & nonprofit sector, working to bridge these industries through partnerships, technology & media.  She has spent 17 years working in community television, running three stations across the country. Shelley is known in the community for her desire to do outreach and connect businesses with media opportunities to tell their stories. 

She has also spent the last two decades working in the music industry working on global campaigns featuring international talent, artist management & development, marketing and event & conference planning.

Shelley produces many video projects and is currently working on a documentary feature.  She has received numerous awards for her productions and has been recognized numerous times as Mentor.

Besides being the Executive Director for KMVT 15 she also runs her own company Toolbox Strategic Consulting, and is Co- Owner of VTeam Music Services.

Shelley sits on the Board of Directors for Chamber of Commerce Mountain View, Chair for, Leadership Mountain View Advisory Council as Co- Chair, AFP SV Mentorship Committee and is Director for the OneDrum Foundation.
