Redwood Symphony will present the world premiere of the Violin Concerto by noted local composer, Henry Mollicone, at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 16, in the Main Theater at Cañada College, 4200 Farm Hill Blvd., Redwood City. This new piece is commissioned by Redwood Symphony. Guest violinist Alexander Eisenberg will solo in the concerto and play 'Carmen Fantasie', an exciting showpiece of tunes from the opera Carmen by film composer Franz Waxman. Also on the program will be 'Alternative Energy' by the celebrated young composer Mason Bates and Assistant Conductor Kristin Link will open the program with Berlioz's beloved Roman Carnival Overture.There will be a pre-concert lecture at 7:00 pm
