White Cane Day

Vista Center's White Cane Awareness Day in Palo Alto on October 8, 2026 flyer

Join Vista Center for their Second Annual White Cane Awareness Day!

On Thursday, October 8, veterans, individuals living with vision loss, and community members will gather at Palo Alto City Hall for a meaningful community walk through downtown Palo Alto, followed by a brief program celebrating accessibility, inclusion, and independence.

The white cane is a powerful symbol of dignity, self-determination, and safe, independent travel. White Cane Awareness Day is an opportunity to honor the achievements of people who are blind or have low vision while raising awareness throughout our community.
